Any Other Way

Ryan Bonner

verse 1

All out a sorts, but on the mend Introduced to you by a friend 7:30 wake up, life’s a blur, it happens so fast did that just happen, or occur? A synonym, they said there’s a bit of him, in her eyes and chin, they called her Sydney Lynn You wait and wait and wait for this moment to go down, I can’t over state and state and state the feeling I felt after I heard the first sound

pre chorus

What we were in for, we couldn’t know Each day I learn from you and so we grow

chorus

I don’t want you to look at me Any other way, any other way than now

verse 2

You tell me stories ‘bout these places Genuine truths, honest love, what real grace is, All in those eyes All in those eyes Let’s proceed to the story...mix ironically, biologically not so logically with some hometown glory. Yeah, that song by Adele, September 18th will forever be the day my heart fell, in love with this baby girl, made me swirl, it all makes sense surrounded by these toes that curl So I turn it around, put my feet on the ground, by Love I am bound took me from lost to where I’m found

pre chorus

What we were in for we couldn’t know Each day I learn from you and so we grow

chorus

I don’t want you to look at me Any other way, any other way than now

The World That I Bring You Into

verse 1

I can’t explain, how it feels... it’s unreal, it’s unreal On a Monday morn, this baby girl was born, it’s surreal, so surreal The news hardly shows, the world I used to know, it’s not real, no it’s not real

chorus

How do you say what there is in a way Keeping honest and true to the me’s and the you’s All the intricacies of our efficacies make it hard to achieve what we need to achieve, we need to achieve

verse 2

Polluted seas of waste, of plastic bags that race to landfills all around, all around, all around It’s a scary thought, to think that wars are fought, over egos, and oil, oil, oil It’s time to demand, that the woman and man be treated equal, equal, equal Why do we still see, colour is it just me, we’re all just people, people, people

chorus

How do you say what there is in a way Keeping honest and true to the me’s and the you’s All the intricacies of our efficacies make it hard to achieve what we need to achieve, we need to achieve

pre bridge

People talk about change, but then things stay the same... actions speaker louder, louder, louder By the time we wake up, will it be too late to shake up the voices of power, power, power, k...

bridge

All this packaging, and disposable waste, make me feel frustration and haste for the wrapper we use for a single taste, to the way we treat this planet, does anyone else share my concerns I can’t stand it. Plastic is killing us yet we can’t ban it. GMOs in our food, let’s make more, we can can it. My daughter will one day look back damnit and question a lack of regulations and how the government ran it. I’m guilty of it too, everything’s a race, we consume and consume, until there’s no more space. And this whole THING, inconvenient truths I SING, now I’m a dad and a new voice does RING and I worry about the world that I BRING you into. So! I’m going to do more, keep a clean shore, turn up this voice until it’s a loud roar, and when it seems there nothing left to do, for you, I’m gonna do more.

chorus

How do you say what there is in a way Keeping honest and true to the me’s and the you’s All the intricacies of our efficacies make it hard to achieve what we need to achieve, we need to achieve

That Moon Song (cover)

Gregory Alan Isakov

the tail lights burn red they were hotter than hell and i’ve been long gone couldn’t you tell

the smoke in the air couldn’t hide my shame saw it lit up on that silver screen

and ahh that full bellied moon she’s a shinin’ on me yeah she pulls on this heart like she pulls on the sea

and you came on strong like some running wave and your beauty left me broke and hungry left me begging to the birds for a bone or an offering left me saying nothin’, nothin’, like i always say

and ahh that full bellied moon she’s a shinin’ on me yeah she pulls on this heart like she pulls on the sea

and those broken hearted lovers, they got nothing on me
